FOOD: waffles for everyone

Hi you all,
today a little recipe sharing with you, because I've been baking yesterday. My grandmother bought me a waffle-iron for my birthday, I wanted to bake brussels waffles. But the machine is to small to bake them.. Sad but you've got to work with the tools you've got.
Few years ago I saw this cute book with tons of recipes, like parmesan or mojito waffles. Some jummy but other very disgusting recipes.

The recipe I used is called Grammy waffles and it's made with maïzena, maybe a little salt taste because of it but sweet enough with the vanilla sugar.
I was really suprised by how quick it went, making the dough and baking them. So if you're not a great baker, really go for making waffles!
Enough blabla: let's bake ;)

What do we need?

  • 200 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 125 g flour
  • 125 g maïzena
Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar until they are light and creamy. Add the eggs and beat until a cream occurs.
Add the flour first and later the maïzena, beat enough because the batter is quite thick.
That's everything for the batter, plug your iron in and start to bake!

I also added some pigment to the leftovers of the batter, pretty cool to create a very pink waffle. It actually look delicious.

Mostly I serve my waffles with bananas, walnuts and chocolate syrup. But powder sugar is always a classic, right?

Enjoy your meal!
